| Farm/Crop Insurance |
Farm Insurance Farm insurance is usually written as a package policy that protects the policyholder against named perils and liabilities and usually covers homes and their contents, along with barns, stables and other structures, farm equipment (tractors, balers, etc.), livestock and farm products. Crop Insurance Crop insurance protects the policyholder against the loss of their crops due to natural disasters, such as hail, drought and floods, or the loss of revenue due to declines in the prices of agricultural commodities. The two general categories of crop insurance are called crop-yield insurance and crop-revenue insurance. |
